Orban and Putin are creating a scenario of separatism in Transcarpathia

There is nothing mysterious in the fact that Russia suddenly handed over to Hungary 11 prisoners of war who do not communicate with the Ukrainian authorities, do not try to return to Ukraine.

The conclusions are obvious from the analysis of the situation

1. The Moscow Patriarchate does not dispose of prisoners. Only Putin personally can decide how many prisoners of war to hand over, to which state or organization to hand them over, whether to hand them over directly or through intermediaries.

2. Putin's political bribe to Orban personally. Because Hungary cannot accept any foreigners (especially foreign prisoners of war) without the permission of its government. The thesis that the initiative to transfer Ukrainian prisoners of war is a private initiative seems too unconvincing. Because this is the initiative of the Deputy Prime Minister Zholt Shemien, who is one of the closest associates of the Hungarian Prime Minister. Thus, Orbán personally agreed to accept 11 prisoners of war from Putin personally.

3. In order to conceal the fact of political bribery, a scheme of intermediaries was used: the Moscow Patriarchate transferred 11 persons. precisely that part of the international Catholic organization, which is located precisely in Hungary, and not in any other Catholic country in Europe.

4. When Russia released the commanders of the Ukrainian units defending Mariupol, the Kremlin prisoners became Erdogan's honorary prisoners.
Since Hungary is a member of the EU, it cannot afford in relations with the Russian Federation what Turkey can afford. Therefore, Putin made Orbán an "honorary peacemaker" through a mediation scheme.

5. Judging from the statements of Hungarian officials, Ukrainian prisoners of war are not "prisoners of honor" there. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs P. Sijarto stated that these people are free to move and act on the territory of Hungary. "And if they want to contact the Ukrainian authorities, they are free to do so, I can guarantee you that."

6. If the 11 Ukrainian prisoners of war who are in Hungary are actually free in their actions, why do they not seek to return to Ukraine and contact the Ukrainian authorities?

There is only one answer to this question: all prisoners of war are ethnic Hungarians mobilized in Zakarpattia Oblast, who do not intend to return to Ukraine due to their beliefs. That is why Putin handed them over to Orban.
This Kremlin performance has 2 goals:
- to show that there are Hungarians in Ukraine who do not want to return there;
- show how much Orbán and his government care about ethnic Hungarians in other countries.

Resume

In essence, Orbán, with Putin's support, is implementing a scenario of replacing the Ukrainian civil patriotism of Transcarpathian Hungarians with ethnic Hungarian patriotism, destroying the identification of Ukrainian Hungarians with the state of Ukraine.
